App - A small file is required to be downloaded. After the download has finished, run the program and it will update (if not, look around to see how to manually update) itself. Afterwards, you will be presented with scanning options. These apps are free and nice to have for a second opinion to the AV you have already protecting your PC.
Software Inspector - This site checks whether or not the software (e.g. Flash, Java, Browsers, Windows Update, etc.) you have is up to date. This is very useful to quickly find outdated software on your system. After the scan has finished, you will be prompted with download links to the updated software.
Browser - These are mostly full system scans done inside your browser. A plugin is usually needed in order for a scan to take place. You will be prompted to install the plugin before the scan starts.
**NOTE** - Internet Explorer is needed to run 95% of these links. It is recommended to use IE for them all!
32-Bit OS - This site will only scan your system if you're running a 32-Bit Operating System.
Single File - These sites allow you to upload one (1) file you find suspicious. Most of these sites have a limit on the size of the file allowed to be uploaded. Be sure to check and make sure you meet their requirements.
Multi - This simply means that there are multiple scanning engines used to scan your file/URL.
File Analysis - Here you can submit a Windows executable and receive an analysis report telling you what it does.
URL Scan - These sites scan URL's and inform you whether or not they're safe to visit.
Polish - The language on this site is in Polish.
Chinese - The language on this site is in Chinese.
